Based on 45,233 user benchmarks.  Devices: BFEBFBFF000906EB, BFEBFBFF000906EA Model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-9100F CPU @ 3.60GHz

Intel’s Core i3-9100F is a quad-core 9th generation Coffee Lake desktop processor. It features base / boost clocks of 3.6 / 4.2 GHz, 6 MB of cache, a 65W TDP and it ships with a cooler. Gamers should pair the 9100F with a Z390 motherboard and unlock higher XMP RAM speeds. This will deliver up to a 15% fps boost which is well worth it considering that many Z390 boards are available for around $100 USD (here is one of the builds from our EFps test lab). The 9100F has great single core performance coupled with a strong memory sub system. This enables it to deliver excellent all round performance, easily holding its own against far pricier CPUs for the majority of use cases. The heavily hyped 12 threaded 6 core Ryzen 3600, paired with a 2060S, barely pulls ahead in any of the top five games. [Oct '19 CPUPro]

great way to test pc before getting it

For a Budget Gaming Pc at the time Ideal, because it got 4 cores for just 60Euro. At that low Price, you can go with a rx 570 or something like that for a low Budget Build.

this is the worst cpu even the i7 920 is better

This is a great CPU with TurboBoost at 4.20 Ghz. I have it im my main pc and its great. I recomend this for budget builds only. Overall best budget cpu.

Really good price to performance

A reasonable sub-100 budget gaming CPU, 4 core 4 thread at 3.6 to 4.2GHz is great for modern gaming (albeit you'll get lower performance on some titles as they may use more than 4 cores) and almost all everyday tasks.

Extreme value for a CPU at these speeds!

Insane value for money!

A $80 CPU that would work with a 580 or so.

what the hell

In my country (SVK) is only 80-90€ for new CPU. For that price is great 4core CPU for low budget gamers with nice performace..... I dont know what some people write "bad performace only 4 core" .... For that price is bad? Really? I dont think so...

Very good value for an i3 CPU, I'm honestly convinced.

This CPU pro guy knows NOTHING, he's just an opinionated nerd, like the world needs more of those - neckbeard. He's going on every Intel CPU with 4C/4T or 6C/6T and saying they outperform the Ryzen chips and that they're future proof. For example he said the i5 9600K outperforms the Ryzen 5 3600. Google the i5 9600K benchmarking Flight sim 2020, it maxes out at 100% usage and causes lag spikes. I'm SO glad I didn't listen to this opinionated moron and be stuck with a 100% maxed out CPU that can't even play the new games. Do your own research. And why is this site recommending his opinion, are we in middle school?

Budget King!!!

Ryzen 3 3100 is far cheaper for little difference.

Pretty decent performance for the price. It's enough for 1080p high settings gaming at a good framerate. but being only 4 threads it will definitely struggle with some modern games and multitasking.
