Average Bench: 77.1% (153rd of 1239)

Based on 68,837 user benchmarks.  Device: 178BFBFF00800F82 Model: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Processor

The Ryzen 7 2700 is an 8 core, 16 thread high-end desktop processor featuring AMD’s second generation 12nm Zen+ architecture and Precision Boost 2 technology. It is the second strongest of four new Ryzen CPUs due for imminent release. The second generation Ryzen processors, codenamed Pinnacle Ridge, are both compatible with the new 400 series and 300 series of motherboards. Official specs for the 2700 are yet to be seen, but early benchmarks appear to indicate base and boost clock speeds of 3.2 and 4.1 GHz respectively. This translates to a modest improvement upon the previous generation 1700 which continues to offer fantastic value for money in terms of multi-core performance. The expected retail price of $299 includes a Wraith cooler and costs the same as Intel’s 6 core 12 thread i7-8700. As expected, the 8700 beats the 2700 on single and quad core intensive tasks, but lags slightly for higher core workloads. Even though the 2700 excels at pure multimedia production streamers should look elsewhere. Streaming with dedicated hardware such as NVENC or a separate stream PC will nearly always result in fewer dropped frames.  [Apr '18 CPUPro]

AMD are great at selling junk. They pee in the well with fake comments, glorified cheerleaders on youtube and paid magazine reviews. My POS PC still crashes randomly. Everybody needs to call the rats out instead of letting them get away with it

i think it is 1% worse in gaming but it is 28% better in a workstation amd needs some love but not just that it has 2 more cores and 10 more threds like thats why it is so good

Ive gotten it stable to 4.3 Ghz ...Pay no attention to youtube. Nor Intel Fan boys. When you look at the 2700 list on this page ... the one u see at the top? Thats me. It cost me a 150 bucks ... I get 144FPS no problem 1080p High Settings minus crap that hurts play in battlefield 5. Thats using the 1660TI which I am going to Upgrade soon . Here's a little secret , Stock isn't as good as OC on Ryzen don't listen to those idiots . Buy 240mm AIO for 50 bucks (I did) Get some good ram ( I didn't but yea thats my ram on the top of the Gskill list cuz I know how to overclock) You can hit 1960 CB R15 with this processor with a small AiO and plenty of case fans. Buy a man sized case so u can actually cool the parts u are going to purchase ...don't build a console ..thats stupid. If u don't want a dead platform the following year ...go Ryzen but understand You need to tighten your ram timings (ALL OF THEM) not just the first 4. This will increase the fps you get by miles. I don't need too as Ive topped all lists on AIO/Water /Air for this processor but I am going to get some better Ram some Samsung Bdie and Once I get a 4000 Series Ryzen NEXT year ... I'll see ya at the top of hwbot /this site and add more entries to the Aida64 baseline. Meanwhile U could go Intel , get 10 more frames a second ... that u likely can't afford a 240Hz monitor to experiance with LOL. Genius's
