Average Bench: 56.4% - 195th / 945

Based on 17,870 user benchmarks.  Device: 178BFBFF00600F20 Model: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor

The AMD FX-8320 has the same architecture and specs as the FX-8350, the only difference being the base/turbo clocks of 3.5/4.0 GHz for the 8320 vs 4.0/4.2 GHz for the 8350. Comparing the two models shows that the 8320 lags the 8350 at stock speeds by around 10% but broadly matches it when both processors are overclocked. This combined with the 8320's considerably lower price tag makes the 8320 the better value proposition. In terms of outright performance, as with all AMD CPUs, the FX series have very strong multi-core performance but lag Intel considerably in terms of single and dual-core throughput. [Mar '14 CPUPro]

In every day use you will not notice much difference from high end Intels. In fact in a blind test 8 out of 10 computer techs picked a $450.00 AMD FX system over a $1200.00 Intel system. Even with high end gaming you will not see the difference between 120FPS and 95FPS. With the FX getting older the deals are getting better. I purchased an ASROCK 970 gaming motherboard and an FX8320 for $110.00! Intel can't do that. I managed to get a AMD R9 285 GPU for $107.00. $217.00 for the main components of a great affordable system. Final cost $375 with gaming case, SSD, HDD, optical drive, and peripherals.

System runs very well. Not as fast as higher end Intel, but great value for all around CPU.—Dec '14

This is an outstanding processor for it's price. I have an i7-4770K at work and it doesn't lack anything compared to it. Both have 1TB Barracuda 7500 K RPM (same model) and while at work I have 8GB 1600MHz at home I have 16GB 1600MHz. Almost the same build. Awesome performance compared to the i7-4770K

Powerful, but surpassed now. Only get it if you can have it at a dead cheap price. Great OC potential.
