Average Bench: 62.1% (561st of 1459)

Based on 34,720 user benchmarks.  Device: 178BFBFF00600F20 Model: AMD FX-8370 Eight-Core Processor

The FX-8370 is a top of the range black edition Vishera eight core processor based on AMD’s Piledriver architecture. It was launched in September 2014 and is both cheaper and faster than the FX-8350. The FX range offers high performance and this particular processor holds a world record for reaching an incredible 8.7 GHz when overclocked under lab conditions. For typical users however, the FX-8370 runs at 4.0/4.3 GHz (base/turbo) and typically hits 5.0 GHz when overclocked. Its effective speed is 83 which is currently only exceeded by AMD's 20% more expensive FX-9590 (scoring 85), making it relatively good value for money. Eight cores aren’t necessary for most applications, but things are changing and if you heavily rely on multi-threaded applications then the FX-8370 may be a good choice. [Dec '14 CPUPro]

I had this CPU in my gamer PC since it came out, I built th PC for this. First AMD processor I had and it is very good. Still works perfectly - I use the PC only for Steam/Gaming (I use Apples for everything else) (Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, DOOM 2016, Shadow of War, Mortal Kombat XL, Mortal Kombat 11, Crysis, A-Creed O. and so on. - Everything is just perfect it can handle it - I have it with AORUS RX580 8GB) *AMD FX 8370 *16GB RAM *RX 580 8GB *180SSD+2TBHDD *1080 50" TV

still a solid competitor for its price point, i would rather go with a ryzen 3 3100 or 3300x for the price/ performance
