Solid CPU that delivers in overall Speed and Performance, even in slim ultrabooks. Still holds up extremely well against its 10th gen successor, and will hold its place as a solid 6 core 12 thread CPU for years to come

Currently one of the most powerful mobile chip on the market. However, the laptop needs to have excellent cooling performance (with 2 fans) to deliver the maximum performance. Power consumption is also very high for a mobile chip so the battery might run out pretty quickly under load.

I am very satisfied with it in gaming and 3D modeling, though it takes a little time to load heavy simulations compared to desktop CPUs

Draws a LOT of power. Like 85-90 watts under max boost. Be sure to max out your fans on your laptop for best performance. Would definitely recommend getting a laptop with an amd 4000 series cpu instead.
