First 6 core cpu for laptop , best for 2018

Excellent

used it for 2 years in my gaming laptop (MSI GS65) and it's performance in workstation use cases, as well as cpu intesive apps has never been an issue, altough it gets pretty warm if under stress for a long period of time.

great processor but gets really hot really fast

Excellent

Fatest mobie CPU I ever owned, given I purchased the gaming laptop when gen. 8 was the latest. Was putting my desktops (at work and at home) to shame with 2/3 of the power consumption. I still love it 2 years later.

Same price as its previous competition but the extra cores and threads make it worth it.

I just bought a laptop with it and a GTX 1060 6gb and it is great combination

While a good CPU, its AMD counterpart is better than this one.

As an owner of this CPU I can say that it's a very well performing CPU considering the builds that it can be found in. With the right settings it really is a poweful CPU that outperforms some if not most flagship Intel CPUs.

6 cores are very useful, and competitive clock speeds make this CPU great for gaming. Watch out for high temps in smaller laptops though.

Terrible

Too much for a laptpo

Good

This card does run hot, which is its downside; however, if you can manage to undervolt the CPU and you slightly unclock the CPU, then this card is a beast. This card is better than what you expect, and can rival with the i5-9400F.

Excellent for a gaming laptop. Not a MAX-Q for the better. Maxes out everything at 80+fps except 100%+ upscaled resolution
