I owned multiple socket 775 systems where the Core 2 Quad Q9400 ran superbly. Most 775 CPU's were great when paired with a good motherboard. I started with an E2160 and ran a 100% overclock 100% stable until Microcenter ran a deal on the Q9400. I only ran a ~30% OC on that, but it was fine and that machine still runs fine today after over a decade.
