Bought it when it was new in 2012, still use it for gaming and workstation tasks to this day. Because games have become more multithreaded as time goes on, it only got better.

Good

Great cpu for its age, running the 95w version at stock speeds. Runs everything I throw at it. Long live FX

Average

Still faster than most laptops despite its age. More suitable for winter than summer though...

Terrible

overheats quickly, a big bottleneck for my video card, too loud

Excellent

Utilizandolo ahora en pleno 2019, sinceramente calienta mucho y su consumo es elevado, aun asi acompañado de 16 gb de ram y una hd7950 no hay juego que no juegue con todo full en HD o algunos caso FHD

Poor

Terrible bottleneck in gaming, not fast enough in rendering. Fake eight core advertising, I wish I knew that before buying.

Excellent

Great 8 core cpu, especially for its age and price, doesn't bottle neck mid range cards and handles windows 10 even today very nicely. In 2020 the 8 core fx cpus are the only ones worth it imo. These CMT cores are 8 integer, 4 floating point units, each with 2 floating point engines. 8 cores is 8 cores. A cpu ahead of its time. 9 yrs and still going!

Excellent

Still use it on a daily base as main station for gaming, surfing, working etc. It still handles everything like a charm.Though I am a superuser & undervolted/overclocked, benched long & many times. I stayed with 8 x 4000mHz 1,344V never got over 54C°, ASUS M5A97, Narnya 16gb ram x 1600mHz (1,5V 9-9-9-28), AMD RX 560, and it never left me hanging, almost none dissapointment experienced , almost 10 years long *.*
