The Core i5 10600kf can be tuned to outperform it’s big brother, the 10900kf, but at such a minor discount from it’s twin, the 10600k, I see no reason to purchase this over the 10600k, which opens up quick sync and simpler troubleshooting for future use.

The below comment answers exactly what my question was going to be...perfect. It is interesting to note though the one (and only) KF scored looks to have been done straight out of the box no settings changed.

an actually reasonable budget choice if you find one at retail price. it’s a 8700k but much better value. the 8700k is much better at overclocking but a 5 ghz all core overclock is douable which is more than enough for everyone.
