The Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge processor is one of Intel's best performers to date. In terms of real world performance this processor offers far more than most users are likely to ever need. Scoring 2012 points on the PassMark Single Thread benchmark, the 3570K is within a few percent of the fastest processors currently available and at 77 watts TDP it's no energy hog either. The server orientated GeekBench and PassMark scores of 13920 and 7144 put the 3570K at just over the 50% marker in terms of total processing capacity compared to the other processors in the group test. For server based workloads more performance is available from the Core i7 range of processors but for typical consumer use this processor is already far more powerful than it needs to be. This CPU is still very capable for its age. It is a four core-four thread CPU that works very well for productivity. It even can edit videos and live stream with a background CPU of about 40%. I have it set up in an old church computer paired with 16GB of ram and an SSD used for live streaming church services and it surprisingly performs very well when streaming with OBS Studio. If you have an older prebuilt with this CPU, it is still very well capable. [May '23AsianPCGeek]
