Average Bench: 39.2% (547th of 1173)

Based on 18,137 user benchmarks.  Device: 178BFBFF00600F12 Model: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor

The AMD FX-4100 is an inexpensive entry level quad-core processor. It was released in Q4 of 2011 and at the time was AMD’s budget chip on its latest Bulldozer architecture. Its base clock speed of 3.6 GHz boosts to 3.8 GHz in turbo mode and with appropriate cooling can be over-clocked to speeds of 4.9 GHz. Even though these numbers appear impressive, the real world effective speed only averages 59. This should be fine for general computing and even gaming when coupled with an appropriate GPU. It’s the FX-4100’s single-core performance which lets it down when compared to similarly priced Intel processors such as the Core i3-3225. Since the majority of daily computing relies single core performance typical desktop users will find better value elsewhere. [Nov '14 CPUPro]

I cannot play games with this CPU. They will consistently crash, making them unplayable. It isn't like my GPU is lacking as I have a GTX 1060 6GB. It is all about the CPU, in this case

after some years the cpu slows down hardly so you cant do anything In 2017 i could easily play games and record them now i cant even play cs go normally

People who don't like it don't know how to overclock properly. I'm getting 4600Mhz stable on a crappy old gigabyte motherboard. On userbenchmark mine is the highest Mhz.

Performs reasonably well considering the year it was made as well as the architecture word to the wise if you are going to put it under load upgrade the cooler 'cause the stock cooler will not work if you OC or use this CPU for 3D animating.
