Average Bench: 70.2% (396th of 1442)

Based on 392,253 user benchmarks.  Device: 178BFBFF00800F11 Model: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor

The Ryzen 5 1600 is one of four new Ryzen 5 processors released this month. Based on the AMD Zen architecture, which is comparable to Intel in terms of IPC, the Ryzen 5 1600 has six cores which is more than the vast majority of games are able to use (most games cannot use more than four cores). Ryzen 5 CPUs offer gamers better value for money than the eight core Ryzen 7 models released last month. With six cores the 1600 is approximately 75% better at multi-threaded tasks than Intel's quad core i5 flagship – the similarly priced i5-7600K, the 1600 however, has 25% lower single and 33% lower quad core scores. The 1600 has stock base/boost clock speeds of 3.2/3.6 GHz and its price tag of $219 includes a cooler. Assuming a modest overclock of 10% brings the 1600 within striking range of the 1600X which is the Ryzen 5 flagship. The 1600X sports stock base/boost clocks of 3.6/4.0 GHz but costs $30 more than the 1600 and ships without a cooler included in the box. The Ryzen 5 1600 is the best value for money six core CPU we have seen to date. [Apr '17 CPUPro]

Using one at the minute in my mATX-Build. The fan is a bit loud, but I can hear it shifting speed when it has to. Running games + OBS & 4 monitors with multiple apps like spotify and discord + multiple browsers. No issues performance issues anywhere (970 gpu).

Wanted sub-100 6 core 12 thread CPU? Well, this CPU possessed insane value for performance compared to i3-9100F thanks to core/thread counts! Unfortunately, you had to pay a little lower single thread performance for more multi thread performance.

Comment  www.gamersnexus.net/...

AMD has released the AF version of this CPU, the difference is that the AF 1600 is manufactured with 12nm node and based on Zen+ rather than Zen which offered slightly higher performance than the original AE 1600. This variant is sold at price of $85.

Ive always used AMD because of their prices. After a decade of mediocre chips its nice to get more then what you paid for again! Im running this chip @4100Mhz with a GTX1070 @2002Mhz Core and 4600Mhz Mem clocks, 4X8GB G.Skill TridentZ 3200 running @3266Mhz, a 1TB Samsung Evo SSD and the GTX1070 is the weakest link. UserBenchmark scores 105 101 99, Outstanding for a budget chip.
