Not bad for a portable laptop that requires the use of a strong CPU. It doesn't match the i9-9900K's performance, but it's a lot faster then some of the newest desktop processors. I would recommend going with the i9-8950HK as it's a little cheaper and just as good. NOTE: The i9-8950HK has 6 cores and 12 threads opposed to the i9-9980HK harboring 8 cores and 16 threads.

Being the strongest laptop CPU currently, this 8 core/16 thread monster mobile CPU delivers nearly similar performance as the desktop i9-9900K while probably generating less heat and consuming less power thanks to lower base clock and lower TDP. Edit : wrong core/thread count, i'm not concentrating properly at the writing of this.
