The best CPU for modernising Dell Vostro 230 workstations. On the latest BIOS, it contains the microcode needed to identify and utilise the Xeon E5450. No need for modding the BIOS.

Consumes less power than the x5450 while still being as powerful, it is a more ideal choice for people with a weak cooler/ motherboard. If you have the choice between the x5450 and the e5450, get the e5450.
