The Core i7-7700K is Intel’s flagship Kaby Lake based CPU which is reported to have the same IPC as its predecessor, Skylake. Comparing the 7700K and 6700K shows that both average effective speed and peak overclocked speed are up by 7%. Most of the increase in average effective speed is explained by the 5% boost in base clocks from 4.0 to 4.2 GHz. The improved peak lab speed is attributable to a combination of better overclocking capacity and improvements in Intel’s speedshift technology which make the 7700K slightly more responsive. Kaby Lake also has marginally better HD 630 integrated graphics. The i7-7700K is priced similarly to the i7-6700K so for top end gaming and workstation builds, the 7700K is the clear choice for 2017. AMD’s Ryzen will release later this year so things could change at that time. [Jan '17 CPUPro]

I have this processor surprisingly fast performing cpu and i can't replace my desktop pc to any laptop i have owned.

Poor

Set it up to 5ghz and it's the faster responsive cpu you'll work with. Even multi-threaded tasks get a boost of around 20%. Excellent CPU for the price. Runs hot, so get a good cooler. Had a CM 212 evo and it was just fin but 5GHZ asks for a bit more cooling to keep temperatures under 72C

Practically no improvement from previous i7 6700K. Too expensive for what it offers having in mind that equally priced AMD Ryzen 7 1700 beats it in pretty much everything.

CPU Running too hot (80-90 c) even on liquid cooling. if you delid your processor, you will lose the warranty.

Excellent

Best CPU I have used to date. Matched with a 1080TI and a Samsung 960 Eveo M.2 it crushes every game I have played at 1440p and 144hz. and is the fastest computer I have ever built.

It's the daddy of gaming CPU's, the Honda FireBlade or Focus RS bringing power to the people at a premium but acceptable price for those that require a top end experience. This is the CPU all others a measured against, the benchmark...

I would like to see how high of a stable overclock these can get. I would also like future processors to not have an integrated GPU so we can instead get more cores or higher clock speeds if possible. I never use the integrated GPU on these.
