The Intel Core i3-4150 is successor to the i3-4130 2013 Haswell processor. Looking at the 4150 and 4130 side-by-side shows that the only difference between the two processors is a 100 MHz base clock increase from 3.4 GHz on the older 4130 to 3.5 GHz on the newer 4150. The marginal 2.9% clock speed increase brings an equally marginal performance boost. Despite the academic performance gain over it's predecessor, thanks to its excellent single-core performance, the i3-4150 is still an extremely capable desktop CPU and will handle the vast majority of regular desktop computing without breaking a sweat. Coupling the i3-4150 with a discrete GPU will satisfy all but the toughest of gaming requirements. Only the lower powered but significantly cheaper Pentium G's offer better value for money[Jun '14 CPUPro]

MORE DETAILS

The Intel G4560 is one of the first Pentium processors to feature Hyper-threading. This means that although the G4560 only has two physical processing cores, it is able to process four threads in parallel by sharing resources between the physical cores. This typically results in a 50% performance improvement over two physical cores alone. Comparing performance between the lowest spec Kaby Lake i3 7100 and the Pentium G4560 shows that in terms of both performance and specs, very little separates them (even virtualization technology VT-d is present on the Pentium). The Pentium does lack AVX 2.0 (Advanced Vector Instructions) and it trails the i3 7100 by 400 MHz (10%) but there is no longer a clear divide between Pentiums and Core i3s. Intel have achieved an almost continuous distribution of performance levels for each price point from the cheapest Pentium to the top end i7-7700K[Jan '17 CPUPro]
